In his previous professional life, Rüdiger Hinze was a consultant to various renowned committees. Initially he worked in international trade, later as an economic and technical advisor to a state government, then for a chamber of industry and commerce.

He organized and coordinated many business-related international delegation trips, initiated important settlements of investors in the state of Brandenburg.
